My Grandfather: Bill Wyman
William H. Wyman (1932-2009)
He went by many names: Bill, Mr. Wyman, Coach Wyman, Dad, the list could go on, but my favorite name for him was Grampa. Growing up he was the best Grampa I girl could ever ask for. He attended all my sporting events and school activities. He drove me to visit 16 colleges in two days! He gave me the best advice, whether I wanted to here it or not. He told the greatest jokes and made me laugh when I was sad. I loved knowing that he was always there on the other end of the phone, whenever I needed someone to talk to or share my day with.
As I've gotten older, I've slowly began to realize the real impact this man I call "Grampa" had on the lives of some many people; not just family members but friends, co-workers, players, students, everyone he knew. I can honestly say that he was the greatest man I ever knew. There are so many stories I can think back on that will always make me remember him and smile. I think it would be wonderful for us all to share those stories with each other here on this page.
